    Requirements are as follow-

  • The candidate needs to have at least 3- years experience as a business owner/manager (10% Ownership), OR, 4- years experience as a senior manager (supervising at least 3 full-time employees), OR, a combination of at least one- a year of experience as a business owner/manager and at least two- years of experience as a senior manager in the last ten years.

  • The net worth of the applicant must be at least $600,000.

  • The education must be post-secondary credential (degree, diploma, certificate), OR, experience as an active business owner-manager for at least three of the last five years with 100% ownership in the business.

  • You must submit a business proposal to establish a new business or purchase an existing business in British Columbia.

  • Your ownership in the business you are proposing to buy must be at least one-third (33.33%).

  • The investment must not be less than $200,000.

  • The business must create at least one full-time equivalent job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.

  • An exploratory visit is required to the area where you want to invest.

  • The minimum official language proficiency requirement is CLB 4.

  • The business concept must score a minimum of 32 points in the business concept section.

  • The minimum amount of time to submit a final report is 18 months after the issuance of a work permit.
